  • Adequate sleep — Quality sleep allows the body to repair and consolidate memories. The WHO advises adults to get 7–9 hours of sleep per night for optimal health.
  • Other lifestyle factors like managing stress levels, avoiding tobacco and excess alcohol, and making time for relaxation also contribute to overall well-being.

Making these pillars of a healthy lifestyle lifelong habits has been shown to prevent major illnesses like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. It also improves energy, mood, and quality of life. As you said, fitness is more than just physical health — it also requires maintaining mental and emotional health.
